A quick starter!

Participation in SAP implementations anywhere in the project lifecycle is a truly rewarding experience in many different ways. For me, it certainly has been. It is intellectually and interpersonally challenging. Especially, the unique combination of skills required to thrive as a functional consultant make the whole process "premium" with plenty of opportunities for value addition to the client.

I am a SAP FI/CO and PS consultant with an emphasis in the SAP Project Systems module and have been in this area since 2003. Having gained a few years of experience with blueprinting, implementation, configuration and support roles for SAP implementations, I have realized that there is a lot of value I could add to the SAP community by having a presence on the web. I would like to use this forum to offer some of my SAP experiences from a functional and configuration point of view and hear your comments.

I would truly appreciate your reading my blog and providing your feedback. I am also very open for networking.

  2. Hi Muralidhar..Thanks for providing such a wonderful blog which opens SAP world to people like me.I really appreciate your contribution and services.I'm so glad to have a blog leading me into a new SAP world. The information you are providing is so helpful for me.

I'm an SAP HR consultant with jsut 2 years of experience.Right now I'm into an implementation project.I have a couple of questions.Hope you will help me on that.
When I was googling for an integration between HR and MM , I just glued to your blog.Probably my questions might sound very basic but request you to help me on that.

1.MM is integrated with HR via Travel management only. That is the perception I had until I hit your blog.So in Material Management the costs incurred for working times can be posted apart from material costs for a business event?

2.If so , then what is the meaning of posting of costs incured on working times to CO and payroll results to FI.

Please help me to undrestand this.

    Thanks Once again

  3. Hi Laxmi, thanks for the comments.

    1. Here is a link to SAP CATS, where you can find what all application components can benefit from CATS time entry, one of which is MM(-SRV). For this you will need to set up service type PO's in MM with service master. Then, the CATM process, while transferring time to MM, creates service entry sheets (SE). The SE, upon approval posts a GR on the PO.

    2. In transferring to CO/PS, the time can also be collected and processed on WBS elements / internal orders / project networks, etc... in CO-related modules.
